KNPS’s music library is estimated to be one of the largest privately-owned music libraries in the United States.
The library features an estimated 258,000 pieces from the Renaissance to the present time, including music theory, history, appreciation, ear training, composition, accompaniment, pedagogy, and almost all aspects of music. It contains a noteworthy collection of Early Music, as well as 19th-21st century Spanish music.
This vast collection, featuring over 17,200 volumes and digital files, as well as nearly 41,000 recordings in digital, as well as CD format, is available to all currently enrolled KNPS students, as well as alumni. Upon request, unique, original, or challenging to find pieces are occasionally loaned to students at the Florida State University College of Music, as well as Florida A&M University.
For any item to be loaned to non-KNPS students or alumni, the prospective borrower must produce an official form of I.D., the name of their major professor, and must show proof that the item is not currently available at a local library.
KNPS strictly adheres to all international copyright laws.
